A Red Spy in a Blue State

Driving to work I saw a “bitter-ender’s” bumper sticker. "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers.” So I thought you might like some general observations from the front lines.

Having GHWB & Clinton on the CBS Evening news was priceless! When asked if he had already donated to tsunami relief Bush answered yes, he’d donated to Americares. Clinton had more trouble. He said he had not because he hadn’t yet decided how he wanted to donate. I swear you could see the thought bubble over his head saying “Won’t anybody feel my pain?” Here’s a hint Bill, tithe! Send 10% of your gross income and no one will complain!

Speaking of bumper stickers, they’re almost all gone. There are a few Kerry-Edwards, but not many. Even the Obama signs have disappeared. Looks like they've gone through the first four stages of grief; denial, anger, bargaining and now depression! Can acceptance be far away? Probably Jan 31 when the results of the Iraqi election are in! You can see the Iraqi insurgents going through their own stages of grief. They are currently at bargaining (i.e. delay the election).

BTW - I have an idea for new bumper sticker of my own - Never Misunderestimate the Power of the Blogosphere (Copyright - 2005).
