Fighting the Next War

There is an excellent article in National Review Online regarding Don Rumsfeld and transformation of the military, particularly the Army (click link above). But it does raise an interesting question in my mind

Are the Marines in the Bonhomme Richard task force currently down-armoring their Humvees for service in Indonesia & Sri LAnka to reduce fuel consumption?
